From a dream of building a hand-sculpted world out of Emma's OddFauna artwork, to a living, breathing game on Steam, this journey has been an incredible adventure. We here at this massive milestone today for one simple reason: you. Your belief in our vision and your incredible support have made this launch a reality.

OddFauna Launch Update: Claim Your Steam Keys Today!

Hey beastly backers,
Steam Retail Keys are coming your way today! You will receive an email from BackerKit with a link to claim your digital rewards.
Here is what to look for based on your pledge:
The Base Game: You will get one Steam retail key for each copy of "Digital Copy of OddFauna: Secret of the Terrabeast" in your pledge.
In-Game Rewards: If your tier includes extra in-game rewards, each of those will be delivered as its own separate Steam key.
The process to claim and activate your keys is below:
1. The Alpha Shutdown & Revocation
To prepare our Steam backend for the official launch, the current Alpha build will be shutting down shortly, and all Alpha keys will be revoked.
Don't panic! This is a standard part of the Steam transition process. It simply clears the way for your permanent "Retail" version of the game. Your Alpha access is retiring so the full Early Access version can take its place.
2. Claiming Your Retail Steam Keys via BackerKit
We are using BackerKit to distribute your brand-new Retail Steam Keys. Here is how the distribution will work:
The Game: You will receive one Retail Steam Key for every "Digital Copy of OddFauna: Secret of the TerraBeast (Steam Key)" included in your original pledge.
Add-on Items: If your pledge included the Gold Cloak, Spring Crown, Adventure Horn, or TerraBeast Pin, you will receive a separate Steam key for each of these. On Steam, these are treated as DLC (Downloadable Content) and will be tied to your account once activated.
How to get your keys:
Check your email: You will receive an automated notification from BackerKit once the keys are distributed.
Log into your Survey: You can access your digital rewards at any time by logging into your BackerKit survey page.
Find "Digital Rewards": Once you are in your survey, look for the "Get Your Digital Rewards" button on your Survey Review page. Your keys will be listed there individually.
Lost your link? If you can't find your original survey email, use the BackerKit Survey Recovery Tool to have a fresh link sent to your inbox.
3. Activating on Steam
You can enter these keys into Steam immediately upon receiving them!
While the game will appear in your library right away, please note that it will not be available for download until our official launch day on June 2nd. Think of it as a "pre-load" of your license so you’re ready to hit Install the moment we go live.
How to Activate:
Launch the Steam desktop client.
Click the Games menu at the top.
Select "Activate a Product on Steam..." and follow the prompts.

Community Update: Turning Off the Lights on Discord

Hey Beastly Backers,
We have an important update regarding our community spaces. As of today, our Discord server has been officially closed, though not deleted.
After a great conversation with our moderator and receiving many thoughtful messages from community members, we decided to "turn off the lights" rather than completely "pull the plug". Our ultimate goal is to host a thriving, well-supported, and active Discord community.
A massive, heartfelt thank you to our incredible Discord moderators. Your hard work, dedication, and tremendous support have meant the world to us.
