OddFauna : Secret of the TerraBeast

Hello OddFauna fans!

Cliff here. First off, thank you again for following along with our OddFauna journey. This past month of January has been a serious, heads-down affair as I prepare the Alpha version of the game. I’ve been grinding, and it’s been a bit draining, but I’m so thrilled to be able to share this initial version of the game very soon.

For those who have been patiently waiting, I am planning on starting OddFauna Alpha access at the end of February. If you supported at the Alpha Beast (or above) level on Kickstarter or added Alpha access on Backerkit, keep your eyes peeled for an official announcement of the exact release date soon.

The truly exciting part of my recent work on the game is the addition of new OddFauna! Much more than just NPCs on the TerraBeast, these new OddFauna will help you dig, speed along, float, fly, grow plants, and otherwise traverse the TerraBeast. These new friends really open up a whole new world of gameplay, and I can’t wait to be able to share them with you soon.

If you haven’t discovered our Discord yet please check it out! I’m planning on starting some live streaming events of OddFauna gameplay on Discord soon. Even if you don’t have Alpha access, you’ll be able to get a much better sense of the game through these livestreams –  so you don’t want to miss out on those!

You’ll be especially interested in our discord if you’re an Alpha level supporter because we have a special section of channels to discuss Alpha with other OddFauna fans.

New Year, New OddFauna! 🎉🎊

Hi Friends!

Hope you’re all having a great start to the New Year! Emma and I managed to have a nice break from development and enjoyed some family time. Not only was the break relaxing, it also helped us gain some focus. 

I’ve been back in the studio this past week (and sneaking in some work the week before that). The Alpha build is really coming along. We now have proper graphic settings that will help the game run on as many people’s computers as possible. This optimization was one of my main concerns with releasing the Alpha. I’ve also optimized a number of materials and more in order to boost performance, but there’s still lots to do!

Additionally, we’ve been prototyping some new OddFauna to be added to the game. You’ll be able to befriend them and unlock their gameplay abilities to aid in your quest.

Here are some of the new OddFauna that we’ve been working on: (although they’re not all properly named yet)

Fire Toad: A friendly toad that breathes fire. Useful for when you need a light.

Waterling: An outgoing and helpful beach creature that can suck up massive amounts of water.

Terrawurm: A silly and warm friend that allows you to terraform the ground.

Bees (pink): Handy companions that will help you grow plants.

Terrabeetle: (not pictured) A huge beetle-like creature that you can ride and allows you to excavate precious rocks and other mining resources.

And we’ve got a couple more new additions to introduce, but I’ll save them for later!

Physical Reward Update!🎁✨

Hello Beastly Friends!

We have exciting news! Most of our Physical Reward are ready to ship out!

Terrabeast Pins, Bandanas, Sticker Packs and Original Art are ready to go out at the end of the month. I've been busy packing everything up and am so happy to finally get these goodies into your hot little hands! Please be sure that your address is up to date if you're expecting a physical item. You'll also be receiving an email next week to confirm and lock your address.

Now for the less exciting news, 

The world is experiencing major delays (Read Kickstarter's Supply Chain Disruption Article Here), we are in the middle of a massive global shipping crisis, which is affecting manufacturing all across the board, including us. This means we don't have an estimated shipping date yet for our "Ride" Collector Statue.

Our team at Level 52 is on it and are doing everything they can to get these beauties made. It's just going to take a lot longer than we initially anticipated.  We will keep you updated with any information as soon as we receive it.
