First Stretch Goal: Famed Secret of Mana Composer Hiroki Kikuta

Hello OddFauna Adventurers!

We had a tremendous first day on Kickstarter thanks to you all! We smashed through our initial funding goal in just three hours. We’re flabbergasted - just bowled over by all the support we’ve received. Thank you so much!

There’s still more we hope to achieve with this Kickstarter. We’d like to introduce our first stretch goal: to bring Secret of Mana Composer Hiroki Kikuta to do the OddFauna soundtrack! With the support you’ve already shown, we’ve been able to improve this goal; instead of Kikuta-san doing just the main theme and a couple songs, we have the opportunity to have him do the whole soundtrack!

I’ve been a fan of Secret of Mana and Kikuta-san’s score from back in my Super Nintendo days. In my office today, I have a framed poster of the Secret of Mana box art by Hiro Isono. This is a childhood dream come true to work with Kikuta-san! He is a master world-builder with his music which is so full of joy and character. It would be perfect for OddFauna.

If we hit $85k, we’ll be able to bring him on to the soundtrack! Title theme and enough songs to bring even more life to the OddFauna world!

We are now also able to afford to hire sound designers! They will work on the ambient nature sounds for the biomes, the sound of Astor munching on berries, the voices of all the beasts, and much more!

Toot, toot, toot! We reached a milestone OddFauna Explorers!

We are super duper excited for this soundtrack! I've said it before and I'll say it again, it's is a childhood dream come true to be able to work with Hiroki Kikuta. His music is both my favorite video game music and will be an amazing fit for OddFauna. 

Share some of your favorite VGM soundtracks in the comments below!  Marco shared "Sword of Vermillion" on the last post, a game I loved but completely forgot about. The song he shared is SOO good.

Next Stretch goal: Advanced Character Customization!
